ITERATIVE PROCESS
The process of placing the book in the world does not end when the book is printed. The process continues with an iterative process with the readers. The process is a constant way of improving the work after listening to the audience. These are the stages of the iterative process:uthor of the novel got the inspiration from the following sources:
1. Get the book or the artist work to be known.
There are very good books that are barely known. Sometimes "word of mouth" works, but other times it is necessary to make a first impulse to make it known. This initial impulse is necessary to start the “word of mouth”. If only your family members read your work, it will be very difficult to be known by the world:
There are many ways to help this process.
1. Presentations in libraries and reading clubs.
2. Book signatures.
3. Lectures on topics related to the book.
4. Mass media.
5. Create a course on the book.
3. Perfect the edition of the book
A book is never one hundred percent perfect. Some details will be always missing. In the Spanish version of the novel "The Calling", after being read and re-read hundreds of times, there was still some minor errors in the edition, even after the third edition.
This means that although we try to finish our work perfectly, there will be always things to be corrected. Therefore, be opened to perfect the edition of the book. Take it as an iterative process: you get feedback from the audience, and then you improve the final version. Do the same with the layout and the cover. Improving the edition is a way of honoring your audience and becoming a better writer and publisher.
2. Establish a relationship with the reader
It is very important to establish a dialogue with the reader. The idea is to create a long-term relationship with our audience. Most of the books will be bought by people who already know us or who have already read a previous book. The ideal is a relationship where we can listen to our audience in a sincere way and not feel offended by their opinions. As for criticism, it is important to listen and put them into context, both the good and the bad critics. In order to create a relationship with the reader you can:
1 - Create a website where the reader can leave their opinion about the work.
2 - Communicate through email with the readers.
3 - Send a little gift to the readers who bought the book.
4 - Ask permission to contact the reader to give him some useful information.
